A good quality skateboard is important for learning to skate. The Shifty completes are a great place to start and are our preferred boards for kids.
These skateboards are suitable for skaters of all ages and sizes. However, below is a suggestion on what we think the ideal size could be for you or your little one.
Specs:
- Deck: 7.5" x 28.25" – 7-ply maple with colored top and middle ply’s
- Wheelbase: 12" – compact and responsive
- Grip: Black griptape for solid footing
- Trucks: 4.75" Raw Shifty Team Trucks with translucent blue 91A bushings
- Wheels: 52mm 97A Shifty urethane – conical shape for speed and control
- Bearings: ABEC-7 for smooth, fast rolling
- Risers: 0.125" black risers to prevent wheel bite
Board Sizing:
- 7.5 inches wide is the perfect size for younger skaters (age 4-9 years) and/or those skaters with smaller feet.
- 7.75 inches wide is the perfect size for skaters aged 8 - 13.
- 8.0 inches wide is the perfect size for skaters aged 10+
